Former So You Think You Can Dance contestant Neil Haskell has just finished filming a new movie for MTV. It will air on the music channel at the end of August.

“It’s a musical movie produced by the same people as High School Musical,” Haskell said in a radio interview with Kiss 98.5/Buffalo.

In The American Mall, Haskell plays a janitor who, of course, is also in a rock band. Their instruments get stolen, he and his friends meet some girls at the mall, and hijinks - along with  choreographed dance numbers - ensue.

Haskell described the film as “Mallrats with dance.” It also stars Autumn Reeser, a favorite of Reality TV Scoop editors following her role on The OC.

Haskell says that he hasn’t exactly stayed in touch with the dancer who beat him last year, Sabra Johnson.

“I haven’t talked to her too much. I’m still a little jealous about the money,” he joked.

Not many American Idol fans are familiar with Raine Maida, but one of this season’s top contestants sure is.

When asked which singer David Cook would like to have a duet with, he didn’t hesitate to name this member of Our Lady of Peace.

“I have been a huge fan for a long time and something about that dude’s voice and stage presence is really unique,” Cook said. “So to be able to perform with him would be kind of cool.”

Amy Hildreth and Marty Wolff - former Biggest Loser contestants - made their reality TV romance official Saturday night, getting hitched in Charleston, S.C., in a small ceremony in front of less than 20 of their family and friends.

“We’re private even though we like to go on reality shows,” Hildreth joked to People Magazine.

This summer, the newlyweds plan to have a party for the rest of their loved ones, including their Biggest Loser season three pals. The show trainers will score invites too, says Wolff, “but I don’t know if they’ll want to come to Omaha, Nebraska!”

The pair, who’ve maintained most of its weight loss from the show, call the wedding a definite “cheat day,” where both Amy and Marty allowed themselves mini-pizza appetizers and a cupcake tower for dessert.

Said the bride: “They’re just so much more fun than a boring old wedding cake!”

Dancing With the Stars professional Cheryl Burke is opening her first dance studio.

Opening April 4 in San Francisco (Burke’s hometown), the Cheryl Burke Dance will “be a place where students of all ages can come to explore ballroom dance,” Burke said in a statement.

San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, Dancing With the Stars host Tom Bergeron and her former dancing partner Drew Lachey will be at the grand opening.

We’d like to wish Cheryl the best on this endeavor.

Karina Smirnoff is still quite happy with boyfriend Mario Lopez.

The Dancing With the Stars pro tells Us Weekly that “there is nothing” to rumors that she’s hooking up with her current partner, R&B singer Mario.

“We have a completely professional relationship,” Karina Smirnoff said. “I have a lot of respect for Mario. He is a great person.”

The New York Post reported earlier this week that Mario and Karina Smirnoff (who partnered with Lopez on the show in season three) were “making out by the valet with their hands all over each other” at the Four Seasons Hotel.

Mario, who performed very well in each of the first two episodes of the current sixth season, also denies the claim, saying via his rep “this did not happen.”

But a source close to the singer insists “there is definitely chemistry and flirtation between the two.” Palpable, even, you could say. They’re hot, hot, hot!

As with Drew Lachey and Cheryl Burke, that kind of connection is enough to make people assume there is some serious rolling in the hay going on.

“We have kind of talked about it,” star Lauren Conrad tells MTV News this week. “We have absolutely talked about it.

“I think if they were going to do a film of The Hills, they would basically film it like we do the show, and they would just edit it into a movie.”

The new season of the MTV reality TV hit, which debuted Monday night, scored its highest ratings ever, attracting an impressive 4.7 million viewers.

It was the most watched program across all of television for viewers aged 12 to 34 and the highest rated cable telecast thus far in 2008.

So fake, so plastic, so annoying but oh so entertaining. Yes folks, The Hills‘ Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are as great a couple as reality TV could ask for.

On Monday’s season premiere of The Hills, Spencer Pratt traveled to Colorado - unannounced - to try to patch up his relationship with Heidi Montag.

It didn’t go well. But The Hills gossip and rumor mills are swirling that even though these events took place awhile ago, things are still rocky with Speidi.

Sources at various casinos say that not only did they stay in different rooms during their trip to Las Vegas this week, in which The Hills cameras were present and rolling, they are staying in different hotels altogether. Talk about some drama!

Heidi Montag is staying at the Palazzo, while Spencer Pratt has checked into the Hard Rock. When The Hills cameras stopped filming the gruesome twosome on multiple occasions, interaction was limited between the two. OMG!

So anyway, smeone who’s not really a big celebrity, even by reality TV standards, wound up winning Celebrity Apprentice last night - Piers Morgan!

For those of you who are unaware (and we imagine that’s close to everyone), Piers Morgan is a former journalist who’s made quite a career for himself hosting reality game shows for his buddy, American Idol judge Simon Cowell (note to Reality TV Scoop: Ask Piers during conference call how to get in touch with Simon).

Now Morgan is a bona fide reality TV champion and will go down in history. Or at least an archived page on this website. Congrats, Piers, on a job well done!

Aimee Wright’s inexperience on the runway finally caught up with her, as the young, 18-year-old hostess from Spanaway, Wash., became the fifth contestant eliminated from America’s Next Top Model during this week’s broadcast.

“I thought I was going to go pretty far,” said Aimee, in between sobs, after her exit. “I made it farther than a lot of other girls in this competition, but I thought I was going to go farther… I wish the judges knew that I was more mature than they think I am. They seem to see me as just a very naive, young girl. I think they really got that image of me and didn’t think that I was maybe ready for this competition.”

America’s Next Top Model’s fifth 10th-season episode began following the previous panel that saw the elimination of Marvita Washington and the team of judges praising Aimee Wright for her “luminescent” skin.” That didn’t last.

“Coming into this I had never done any modeling or anything like that before, so this whole competition has been such a learning and growing experience,” Aimee said.

It wasn’t enough, though, as Tyra Banks and the rest of the panel ultimately concluded that Wright had gone as far as she could go.

Monalisa became known as Shy on Flavor of Lov.

Unfortunately, her exposure on the reality TV dating show ultimately stained Shy /  Monalisa with a reputation as the loud-mouthed and bad-breathed instigator who tried to win Flavor Flav’s heart but to no avail.

On the other hand, her recent elimination has liberated her from all the drama in the mansion and allows her to return to her “true self.”

According to Shy, everything she did on the show was just an act.

Although she lasted seven weeks on Flavor of Love, her time was not enjoyable. In fact, she had to deal with the negative energy and distance herself from her true personality as she took on the name given to her by the great Flavor Flav.

Shy / Monalisa: Never a dull moment.

“Basically, I am a true actress and I took that character in and became Shy. I had a little something of me, but I became that character. I was confused. I was getting mixed signals from Flav… Shy is the negative character of who I am and I made that character live. I tapped into a character instead of showing my true swagger,” Shy explained.

“It was a really hellish experience for me. I had to shake the Shy character off. It took me like two months,” she added. “I knew what I had to take care of with my teeth even before the show. I have never smelled my breath like the way he says it, and no one else I’m around has. I think it came from Bee-Ex and Hotlanta starting the rumor at the roast. That’s when everything about my breath kicked off. He took it all the way to the end and that’s some real gutter stuff.  I’ll go out and be the girl with the stinky breath. That was Shy. I’m Monalisa.”
