Nashville Star: Coming to NBC!

2007logo2.jpg Nashville Star will be back on the air in 2008. But it won't be on the USA Network.

Instead, the country-music competition will be broadcat on NBC. The show will join a second season of American Gladiators in what NBC is calling its "All-American Summer" lineup, leading up to its coverage of the Olympics in August.

"We are thrilled to feature the powerhouse Gladiators this summer, and it's a real coup to bring Nashville Star to NBC," says Craig Plestis, head of alternative programming at NBC.

The singing competition has aired for five seasons on USA, helping launch the careers of Miranda Lambert, Buddy Jewell and last season's winner, Angela Hacker, who beat out her brother Zac to win the crown. Approximately three million people watched last season's finale, a record for the show.

Derek Hough Speaks on Dancing With the Stars Tour

Derek Hough PhotoDerek Hough recently spoke to TV Guide about this year's Dancing with the Stars tour.

So, how's it going brother of Julianne Hough?

TVGuide.com: You've done this before â€" you did the 2006 Dancing with the Stars winter tour.
Derek Hough: Right. But this tour is a lot different from the last one. When I did the last tour, it was because of the tour that I got a shot on the show. Same thing for Julianne.

TVGuide.com: Really? How so?
Hough: We were on the last winter tour in Nashville, and the producers were like, wow, this girl's a bombshell. She's going to be great and we want to put her on the show. I was actually with Julianne when she was offered the show and I was so excited and proud. And not really surprised. Because I knew she was more than capable of doing it and that she would look fantastic.

And when I saw her on the show, and how great she was doing, and then, when she actually won the show, I was overwhelmed with pride.

TVGuide.com: So is this tour different for you from the last one?
Hough: Yes, definitely, because after being on the show, you feel like the audience might expect more from you. Before, nobody knew me, so there wasn't very much pressure. And I knew that they were focusing on the people they saw on television, the people they had been connecting with. Now, there's a little more pressure and I've got to make sure I do a really good job. I don't want to let them down.

TVGuide.com: Now that you've got some distance from the show, how do you feel about that infamous spill you took with Jenny Garth â€" the one they replayed over and over?
Hough: It's good when things like that happen sometimes, just to remind people that this is real, this is live.

"It definitely changes the way you go into the game. The last time I went in I was playing for me. Now I'm playing for my little girl."

Tiffany Pollard Gives Thanks for Tailor Made

New York PictureTiffany Pollard is thankful the supposed sex tape she was rumored to have starred in as been pulled from the Internet.

But she's even more thankful for her fiance, Tailor Made.

"Oh, my George," Pollard sighed to People magazine in a recent interview. "I told him what happened and he said, ‘I stand by you.' He didn't question me. He helped me relax about it."

That's an impressive feat, considering she "blew a gasket" when she learned about the tape.

"I was floored," Pollard said. "I thought, ‘I have to clear this up.' It saddened me as a woman and as a black woman... I feel violated because it's not me. If that were me, I would stand by it. They crossed the line."

But you can't keep New York down!

"I'm not going to let this (put) me in a state of being sad or feeling beaten up. I'm gonna be a big girl about it. I'm gonna stay strong."

Reality TV News: Emmanuel Lewis, Legally Blonde Shows in the Works

First there was Flavor Of Love. Then, I Love New York.

Now there's plans for an almost more absurd reality dating show: MediaTakeOut.com has learned that 1980s child star Emmanuel Lewis (Webster) is in talks to star in Webster's Beauties.

A California based production company is shopping the show to a number of networks. Rumors has it that VH1 might snatch it up. We'll keep you posted.

Meanwhile, a new MTV reality show may cast Legally Blonde's next leading lady.

A casting representative from that network has confirmed that it will hold auditions January 21 in Orlando for an upcoming reality show that will search for an actress to play Elle Woods in the Broadway production of Legally Blonde.

The open casting call in Orlando, which is open to non-union talent, is seeking actresses 18 and over with strong acting, vocal and dancing skills to compete for the lead in the Broadway musical. The notice states that filming will take place over four weeks in March.

Andy Baldwin: Shipped Out!

Andy Baldwin PictureFormer Bachelor star Andy Baldwin was shipped off to the Middle East last night.

A Navy doctor, Baldwin is scheduled to spend the next few months in the Middle East before returning to his naval duties in Hawaii in late March.

From there, an source said, Andy is being transferred to Washington, D.C., where he will represent the Navy in legislative matters.

"Andy is proud to serve his country," the insider added. "His life as a celebrity comes second to his dedication to the Navy."

But what about Andy's rumored romance with Donald Trump's ex-wife Marla Maples? It's supposedly heating up. According to an insider, Marla promised Andy that she will "wait for him" until his tour of duty is over.

"They have great chemistry. It could lead to marriage."

Tiffany Pollard Denies Existence of Sex Tape

Simply put: there is no New York sex tape.

So says the star of I Love New York herself, Tiffany Pollard.

"It is absolutely not me," Pollard told the New York Post. "Do I strike you as the kind of woman who would have a sex tape floating around out there and not be standing by that tape? I'm nobody's role model. I have a trash-talking potty mouth, I do what I want to do, that's who I am as a person."

We certainly can't argue with that.

Tailor Made, Tiffany Pollard

"I'm a strong black woman and if I did something like this I would 'fess up. If I had a sex tape, I'd say when I did it and who I did it with - I have nothing to hide," she continued. "Nobody runs my world other than myself and whatever I do in this lifetime, good or bad, I will own it and I will not own that tape because it's not me."

Pollard went on to reference a pair of other reality TV stars whose sex tapes did anything but harm their careers:

"Look at Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian, they have sex tapes and it catapulted them into the limelight," Pollard keenly said. "A sex tape today does not equal disaster. If I did have a sex tape, I wouldn't deny it."
