Top Chef Criticizes Gordon Ramsay, Hell's Kitchen

Top Chef judge and restaurateur Tom Colicchio has a bone to pick with his Hell's Kitchen counterpart Gordon Ramsay over the way Fox's foul-mouthed culinary king treats his aspiring chefs.

Tom Colicchio "I watched five minutes of [Hell's Kitchen] once and turned it off because I can't deal with people screaming at chefs," said Colicchio. "I try to treat the [Top Chef] contestants the way I would treat the cooks in my kitchen - you have to be firm, you have to criticize them, but you do it in a way to build them up, not rip them apart."

Colicchio said he works nights so he's not usually around to watch much TV, and when he does find himself in-front of the television it's usually to watch his favorites.

"It's not [Hell's Kitchen]," he told TV Guide.

Colicchio said he considers his Bravo reality show's third-season cast, which consists mostly of sous chefs or executive chefs, to be "a deeper talent pool" than Top Chef's previous seasons. Nevertheless, he couldn't help but offer some words of wisdom from his decades of experience in the restaurant industry.

"Simple is better than complicated, especially when you're doing things under time constraints," he told TV Guide. "I think too often their minds are racing so quickly that they end up doing more than they can handle. The chefs that are really going to distinguish themselves are the chefs that are going to do something uniquely their own. You want to see someone's own style and personality on the plate."

Cedric Survives, Jimmy & Faina Cut From So You Think You Can Dance

We envisioned a teary-eyed wrap-up for Cedric Gardner, the unique but too raw hip-hopper, with dancers sadly giving him hugs and pats on the back while barely hiding the elation that it was Cedric cut from the program, not them.

Faina Savich But Cedric Gardner skated through.

Thanks, inexplicably, to mind-changing judge Mia Michaels, Cedric was given a reprieve after dancing for his life in another crazy solo, leaving Faina Savich (pictured) - who held her own in the foxtrot and ended up dancing last night only because of Ced's own ineptness - heading home instead.

As Nigel Lythgoe said, it all came down to the uniqueness versus experience in their decision to axe Jimmy Arguello, a contemporary dancer, over Cedric. But did the right people go home? And what else stood out on last night's results show?

Another Crew Member Set Adrift; Pirate Master Episude Guide Live

They're dropping like flies. Or, like wanna-be pirates that aren't coming through for their crew.

Either way, Pirate Master sent another contestant home last night, but at least she held her head up high as she was forced to walk to figurative plank. Who was it?

Pirate Master... Treasure?

And what did she say upon her ousting? That's what our episode guide is for. Check it out now.

So You Think You Can Dance Recap: Cedric On Hot Seat

Cedric GardnerLast night, it was the second week of So You Think You Can Dance's hot dancing pairs, the original 20 finalists now whittled down to 18, or nine couples.

On the chopping block is Cedric Gardner (pictured) who was a major disappointment to Nigel Lythgoe et al., but more importantly to his partner, Faina, last night.

After he shone last week with his specialty, hip-hop, the So You Think You Can Dance gods responded and dealt him some ballroom.

Ouch. When choreographer Hunter Johnson explained to Cedric that lines in foxtrot are like railroad tracks, it was evident Ced was in over his head. Possibly even in a different station altogether, if you will.

Who else might join Cedric and Faina - who will almost certainly have to dance for their asses tonight - in the bottom three? Who stood out on a night of terrific showings? What sexy youngsters look like they're ready to tear each other's clothes off at any second?

Bachelorette Trista Sutter Won't Be Giving Birth On Camera

Trista, Ryan SutterTheir courtship was televised.

As well as their wedding planning, and the actual ceremony.

But if you were hoping you'd see Trista Sutter give birth to her first child with Ryan Sutter on camera, in an up-close, gruesome scene a la Katherine Heigl in Knocked Up, well... you have problems.

Although even that might be more fun to watch than a tape of Jennifer Toof naked.

No, fans of The Bachelorette's Trista and Ryan Sutter apparently won't be seeing the birth of the couple's first child later this summer.

"One hundred percent no!" Trista said in the new issue of OK! when asked if there would be a new reality show following the soon-to-be first-time parents.

"When it comes to cameras being in your life 24 hours a day, that's something we're in total agreement will never be happening again. That's how we met and we're appreciative of that, but that won't be happening. Sorry to the public if they're wanting to see any of the birth!"

It's okay. We'll always have Pageant Place.

Trista Sutter, a 34-year-old purse designer and former physical therapist, and Ryan, a 32-year-old fireman, met on The Bachelorette in 2002.

Trista Sutter was spurned on the previous season of The Bachelor, but producers loved her so much that they gave her a spin-off.

More than 30 million people watched as Trista Rehn chose Ryan Sutter as her man during ABC's February 2003 broadcast of The Bachelorette's first season.

Ten months later, ABC aired a three episode series that detailed the events leading up to their December 2003 wedding ceremony. Over 17 million viewers watched Trista and Ryan exchange vows on ABC's Trista & Ryan's Wedding.

In February 2007, Trista and Ryan - who's friends with reigning Bachelor Andy Baldwin - announced they were expecting their first child.

Another Donald Trump Reality Show: Pageant Place

Donald Trump and MTV are joining forces on a reality series that will mix The Apprentice with The Real World... and star the winners of Trump's beauty pageants. Of course.

Variety reports that the half-hour series will be called Pageant Place and will see Miss Universe, Miss USA and Miss Teen USA living in the same New York apartment.

Tara Conner Former Miss USA Tara Conner, who became the subject of controversy after reports of her partying surfaced last year, will also star, serving as a kind of den mother and chaperone to the women.

"We'd been thinking about everything that happens backstage and how women like Tara captured the imagination of so many of us, including a slob named Rosie O'Donnell, who didn't like that I gave Tara a second chance," Trump said in an interview, "And we thought, Wouldn't it be great if we let the cameras roll?"

Donald, it would be wonderful.

The three women who hold the pageant crowns always live in the same Gotham apartment during their yearlong reign anyway, as they attend to their functions as pageant winners; this year they will simply live in front of cameras.

The first season of Pageant Place will follow the women - current Miss Universe Riyo Mori, Miss USA Rachel Smith and Miss Teen USA Katie Blair - as they model, make appearances on behalf of various causes and embark on international trips.

It could also feature drama between Conner and Blair, who have sometimes have had a rocky relationship. And sometimes have had a hot and sexy relationship.

Kendra, Bridget and Holly: The Girls Next Door... to a Prince

Hugh Hefner and his Girls Next Door are had a fun time in Monte Carlo over the weekend.

But it was almost a dangerous time.

Sexy Lawbreakers

The blondes told Access Hollywood that they weren't aware that they were breaking the law when they were apprehended by police for trespassing on palace grounds last week.

"We went exploring, you know, and we saw McDonalds and, like, everything just led to another," said Kendra Wilkinson. "And we followed the yellow brick road, and we wound up at the palace. And then all of a sudden..."

"We were in trouble," said Bridget Marquardt, finishing Kendra's sentence.

The girls ended up being detained at the police station for the rest of the night, which pissed Kendra off - and for good reason.

"They cut out our drinking time," she remarked. "I was so pissed, I was so mad."

But the their spirits brightened when they actually got to meet the Prince of Monaco a couple days later.

"We got to meet the prince and he was very nice," said Kendra with a laugh. "We just told [him] that we were kind of in trouble in front of his house and he was like, 'really?'"

Boy Shakira Causes Uproar at America's Got Talent; Episode Guide Live

Two weeks ago, it was Sharon Osbourne.

Last night, it was David Hasselhoff.

What's with judges on America's Got Talent storming off simply because the rest of the panel doesn't agree? Granted, it's hard to argue with the Hoff's downcast opinion on Boy Shakira (pictured), but storming away from the cameras because Osbounce and Piers Morgan sent him through seemed a tad immature.

Rob Mariano Announces Reality TV Show Plans

Although it doesn't appear to have a broadcast network yet, Rob Mariano has pulled the wraps off the new reality project he first began teasing in March.

Rob Mariano Photo According to Reality TV World, Mariano has announced he will serve as the host of Tontine, a new reality competition show that will award one contestant with "the biggest cash prize in the history of reality television - $10 million."

The oddly named show will follow 15 contestants, each of which is given "a special key" that unlocks a portion of the $10 million grand prize. Over the course of 100 days, the cast will be put through a series of mental and physical challenges with the possession of the keys constantly up for grabs. The series will conclude when only one contestant remains with all 15 keys in his or her possession, allowing him/her to unlock the $10 million prize.

"I can't tell you everything, but I can tell you certain things about it," Mariano said. "It's a competition reality show that will last over 100 days on all seven continents of the world. [It's going to be] bigger than Survivor, bigger than The Amazing Race."

The show's format is based on its namesake - "tontine" - an annuity scheme in which a group of individuals share a common fund, with the money being awarded to the person who survives the longest, or in this case makes it to the end of the competition.

Coral Smith, Former Real World Cast Member, is a Lesbian

Some alums of The Real World are porn stars. Yes, we're looking at you, Tonya Cooley.

Others simply like other women in their personal lives. For example, Coral Smith falls into the latter category.

Coral Smith As reported by Reality TV World, this former member of The Real World: Back to New York is a lesbian. She came out in a recent interview with Outlook magazine.

"I'm definitely venturing toward my lesbian qualities. It's been a long time coming," said Smith, who dated men on the reality show. "At that time, I was really unsure. That was not the proper venue, the proper platform. To come out to your parents on a f-cking reality show, I think that's just mean, so I didn't."

Smith referred to her sexuality as "very cloudy at this point in time," and added her decision to come-out makes her feel "a little nervous."

"Just saying it is a little... It's a little surreal," she told Outlook. "I'm not scared. I walk around holding hands. It's not a problem for me, but I do fear backlash to some degree. Everyone has something negative to say, and I don't really want to deal with it. Other than that, I don't care. Hell, I'm old. I'm 28!"

Smith recently appeared at "Gay Day" for San Francisco's Great America amusement park and says she's "always been really supportive" of the gay and lesbian community.

"I just felt it was something I belonged to and had to show up for. I love doing this kind of thing," she said. "It's really positive and shows we're capable and can run shit. Gay men run shit in L.A., honey. If you want to go out with somebody in L.A., they have businesses and money and depth. Gay men are coming up and are very under-estimated."
